Executive Bios

JAY T. ROUNDY, M.A., D.P.A., Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Roundy is responsible for all operations of Schaller Anderson Healthcare (SAH), a division of Schaller Anderson Incorporated. SAH operates commercial and self-funded physical and behavioral health programs including CONTACT.


His previous health care experience includes:

  • Vice president, western region for MCC Behavioral Health (now CIGNA Behavioral Care) in Mesa, Ariz.
  • Vice president and chief executive officer of East Valley Camelback Hospital in Mesa, Ariz.
  • Assistant administrator of Desert Samaritan Medical Center in Mesa, Ariz.
  • Executive director of Tri-City Community Behavioral Health in Mesa, Ariz.

He received a doctorate of public administration from Arizona State University and a master of arts in counseling psychology from Chapman College in Orange, Calif.


JAMES JOHNSON, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Johnson is responsible for the day-to-day operations and implementation of at-risk and self-funded plans for CONTACT. He is responsible for call center operations, the provider relations department, and a variety of other internal departments and processes intended to support clients, providers and members.


His previous health care experience includes:

  • Private clinical practice specializing in adolescents and adults and managed behavioral health care consulting
  • Vice president of compliance and policy development for CIGNA Behavioral Health in Phoenix, Ariz.
  • Vice president of clinical administration for the Health Plan Services Division of CIGNA Behavioral Health
  • Regional clinical director of the Western Region for the Health Plan Services Division of CIGNA Behavioral Health

He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., and a doctorate in clinical psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind.


JILL BARNARD, M.S.W., A.C.S.W., L.C.S.W., Vice President, Medical Management
Ms. Barnard is responsible overseeing the integration and overall processes and procedures for physical and behavioral benefits for SABHI and Schaller Anderson Healthcare.


Ms. Barnard sees to it that the integrated benefit offerings from SAH and SABHI provide the most comprehensive services available to commercial, Medicare and Medicaid members, including prior authorization, concurrent review, case management, disease management and quality management.

Her previous experience includes:

  • Public and private sector management of grant-funded programs
  • Hospital social work and management
  • Community mental health and addictions
  • Private practice

She holds a bachelor of science degree in social work from Weber State University and a master of science degree in social work from Arizona State University.


SHELLY DUHAMELL, Manager of Account Management
Shelly Duhamell is responsible for the management of at-risk and self-funded plans for CONTACT.


Her previous experience includes:

  • National Sales Consultant for MMSI, a Mayo Health Company. Responsibilities included the management of the Arizona account management unit, marketing and new business sales.
  • Regional Account Manager for Mayo Health Plan of Arizona (MHPA). She was responsible for the retention and growth of MHPA's largest clients.
  • Employee Benefit Manager for Chandler Unified School District in Arizona. She was responsible for the employee benefit programs, which included, medical, dental, short- and long-term disability, life, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, Workers Compensation and retirement programs.

She holds an applied science degree in accounting from Mesa Community College, bachelor of science degree in business management from University of Phoenix and is licensed as an Accident/Health Producer in Arizona.
