Tempe Hires CONTACT For Employee Behavioral Health

The City of Tempe has awarded a contract to CONTACT Behavioral Health Services to provide Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services for its 1,650 city employees and their family members. The services offered in this two-year contract will include helping city employees and their family members deal with stress and job-related issues, including debriefings following emergency interactions.
CONTACT, an affiliate of Schaller Anderson Behavioral Health, Incorporated, is the state's largest managed behavioral health care organization. It is an industry leader in the provision of EAP and managed behavioral health care, providing services to 1.2 million people.
Among the services it will provide City of Tempe employees, CONTACT will:
- Provide short-term counseling for stress and job-related issues; individual, family, relational and marital concerns, child and domestic abuse and chemical dependency assessment;
- Conduct employee and supervisor orientations on city premises;
- Conduct critical incident stress debriefings;
- Hold train-the-trainer workshops and provide supervisory referrals.

This convenient accessibility will enable employees to take advantage of these services when they are needed, and will support their efforts to maintain healthy, productive lives."
